preadmission testing

What do they do at ur preadmission testing for a cesection. My section is wednesday im going tomorrow for my testing just curious what to expect

I never heard of that before.i am going to be brought in for a section in 4wks and have never heard of that before.

Maybe its just my hospital. I believe they draw blood check blood pressure and urine and i think i meet with an anestesiologist just so they are all ready to go when i get to the hospital but im not sure thats y i wanted to confirm see if anyone else ever did this. My lasy csection was emergency so i didnt have this before

I had an emergency one the last time too. But i live in Ireland so maybe things are done alot differently wherever u are.interested to know more about it though

I live in US. pennsylvania. To be exact. If one of the ladies on here cant shed some light ill let you know tomorrow after my testing lol

In UK we have pre ops before planned operations.I had a d & c couple of years ago and when I went for mine they did height,weight, bloods, some questions like are you a smoker/drinker, medical history and a swab up the nose for Mrsa.  They also talk you through what happens on the day and pos meet the docs
