Advice, words of encouragement, prayers I'll take them all

by soon2bemommieof2, 11 minutes
I'm almost 13 weeks with my second child and this isn't going as I expected. My first pregnancy went smoothly. I don't recall any pain or problems other than having to get some dental work done. That was 10 years ago and this pregnancy is already completely different. I have suffered with severe constipation since about week 7. I take collace but that isn't doing the trick. Anyone use magnesium citrate? Also I was diagnosed with symphosis pubis dysfunction after a trip to the emergency room with horrific pelvic pain. So now I'm wearing a brace and taking ibuprofen such is helping somewhat but I'm still in constant pain. I pray things get better because all this is making me depressed. I'm not sure I can take 27   more weeks of this :(

Hang in there love. We go thru things only to get and be better later. It will be so worth it once you see that your baby is okay. Easier said then done. But keep your chin up.

Did you ask your doctor about the magnesium citrate? I don't think it's on the list for medication that's approved for pregnant women. My doctor told me it cramps/ contracts the uterus which is not a good thing. I've been constipated as well. The only thing that works for me is a saline enema made by Fleet. My doctor says to take the enema every 3 days and it works!

I pray that God will strengthen you and your body as you prepare for motherhood a second time. Sometimes we have to take it a day at a time and not concentrate on where we have to go but more focus on thanksgiving for today. It's my prayer that you begin to feel the strengthening each day as each day gets a little easier to bare.  Prayer really does change things and thanksgiving really does change your perspective on things which helps bring about peace in the middle of adversity. I'm praying for you momma. Take care and God bless.

I will pray for you mama. I'm so sorry your going through that. I catch myself sometimes taking this for granted. Complaining about the littlest things. And look how strong you are. God doesn't put us through anything we can't. Bear you will make it and have a beautiful healthy baby. Amen
