36+5 5lbs baby

I'm 36 weeks +5 and today at my ultrasound baby's estimate weight is 5 pounds. From March 19 to today, 3 weeks, baby gained one pound. How much is your baby gaining? I think baby's are supposed to gain a pound per week right?

Doctor says they should gain about 1/2 pound per wk after, 30 wks but the ultrasound isn't accurate,  I was told my son would weight about 7lbs and came out 5p 12ou, so I don't think u should worry,  long as the baby is healthy

I was induced at 39 weeks with my son because they said he was going to be 10+lbs. He came out weighing 8 lbs 4 oz. I agree that ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate.

My best friend had to be induced due to ultrasound saying her little girl was already over 10 lbs...Once she had her she actually was just over 6 lb.

I never was told the weight of my first baby. Last ultrasound I got with him was the at 21 weeks.

This pregnancy still wasn't told weight of baby. I'm 22 weeks and I will be getting a 3d/4d ultrasound at 30 weeks...most likely won't be told what the weight is.

I guess it's because my midwife goes off the belly measurement and what you should measure for that week.
