reveal parties?

My brother suggested I throw a reveal party and do the whole cake with pink or blue and color themed balloons!  But two things

1. I feel awkward throwing a party for myself lol

2. I dunno if I wanna put off knowing what I'm having just to coordinate everyone's schedules...especially since Halloween parties will be all over the place next month

I did a reveal shower and I loved it! Only my husband and I knew. I couldn't wait not knowing what we were having.  So we kept it between us and had the baker dye the center of the cake pink. Everyone was so impatient for us to cut it open! But it was fun!

I think the idea is cute!! My sister in law wants to have a party for me but I said I couldn't! This is our first baby and we won't be able to keep it a surprise! I think if you want to throw the party for yourself, then do it! :)

My friend had revealed at their baby shower with the cake. The only person who knew the sex was the doctor. They gave them them a sealed envelope and took it to the baker. Everyone was truly surprised. It was wonderful. They did neutral colors for the baby shower. I had another friend do photos with blue balloons being released. Those were really cute too.

My family wanted to have one for me.I told them I'm sorry but I just can't do it. This is my husband and I first baby we will find out in a week what we're having. We have to know I don't have time for a party.

Too much time and effort. How about reveal photos? You can add them to baby book...
