Depending on where you are-hantavirus is an issue. Rodent poop isn't safe for any kind of person unless you have the proper biocides and cleaning techniques. If it's not sprayed with biocide first, the virus can become airborne and it is respiratory.
Just wear gloves and a mask that goes over your nose and mouth. When your finished throw your clothes in the trash or in the wash. Then take a shower.
