I love Avent bottles! I've breastfed all 3 of my children and they all took Avent bottles well. If you are going to breast and bottle feed I highly recommend starting to introduce bottles around 3-4 weeks of age. With a lot of babies if you start later they are so used to only breastfeeding that they have difficulty accepting any kind of bottle.
We had problems with my son taking a bottle. Dr recommended Playtex said it had the closest nipple to a real nipple. As soon as we tried them no problems. He loved them.
I had a daycare provider tell me they hat Dr browns because they leak but my sis in law loved them. She didn't bf at all though.
I've used dr browns with my other two kids and will with this one also. I've tried almost every other brand and cannot stand them. Yes DB are a bit longer to clean but its worth it
I breast feed and pump also and both my kids would only latch onto a NUK bottle
I have always loved dr. Brown's. They work awesome. Especially if the baby is prone to gas. The only draw back is if you plan to bottle feed only when you have to. The nipples on dr. Brown's aren't very close to the breast so nipple confusion is a problem. The biggest advice I would give is to get 1-2 of a few different types. All babies are different and have their own preference. Let him/her be a guide.
Well when i bought bottles babies r us didnt recommend tommee tippees. So i went with Dr Browns. But im a ftm and not to sure about any bottles. I know my friends had that brand (tommee tippee) and her son never took them. Hes 7 months and just now getting on the bottle from the boob!
