Perineum Massage

Has anyone tried doing perineum massages to try and help stretch to tissue and muscles so you won't tear or have to be cut. I got an email and had my husband try it last night it does hurt a little but I really don't want to be cut or tear. Tell me what you all think.

It hurt some but after two days my husband noticed a difference already. I don't want tear or be cut so I'm trying it. Then I don't want the epidural.

Ok thank you the stretching is intense but after the first day. I let my husband do it because I would have quit after the first couple of minutes.

I was doing it for awhile but the pain got too intense. They can also put a warm towel on the area before you push to help the area stretch.
