Well my doctors are very nice no one has said anything negative I meet with my high risk ob in 2 days and he is going to go over some things with me to try and get my BP under control I already met with a nutritionalist and my first glucose test was fine and I take my next one at my 28 weeks and my 24 hour urine test was negative for protein which they said is good they haven't said much about me gaining weight bcuz I haven't gained a lot of weight I went from 316 pre pregnancy weight to 323 and my baby is measuring good so far which I have a growth scan this week as well I get them monthly now so I haven't had that kind of treatment it's horrible that they talk to people like that when the situation is already stressful enough

I'm high risk for preclampsia since I had it with my last kid. I haven't reached 20 was yet but that's when you can start to show signs of it. I've read alot of stuff on it and some of the stuff is crazy scary. I had no symptoms except the high bp. Good luck hope everything works out. Oh I was induced a week before die date and baby girl was perfectly fine!! :)

I haven't been told I'm high risk, but was overweight before & gaining "too much" during pregnancy. My BP is great, 2 glucose tests have put me in normal ranges, but they always make it a point to say something about my weight. I'm 29.5wks so I go every 2wks now. I cry every time BC it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I'm doing what I can. I teach so I'm on my feet all day long & coming home to walk more is typically hard to do with little energy (& not to mention the relentless winter!). Some days I love veggies & salads, & other days it's all blah to me. This last nurse said they have to record a nutritionist referral & discussions about it as a liability (I told her I wasn't going to a nutritionist). Doctors/nurses are concernedconcerned BC there can be complications, but just don't let them bully you about it. Some are nicer than others & honestly, do what you can!

My pregnancy was high risk for the same reasons also including gd on top of it...my baby was born perfectly healthy and is now 2 weeks old:) they scare you and tell you all these horrible things that can happen, but just relax and know that as long as you do what you are suppose to like eating right, walking as much as possible and go to all ur prenatal apps etc. Your baby will be just fine. They may have to induce you earlier than your due date. Most physicians induce high risk pregnancies to avoid the possible risks, and if your high blood pressure turns into pre-eclamsia like mine did they will give you magnesium to avoid seizuring ..it kind of makes you feel yucky but it's definitely tolerable. I was induced at 37 weeks 2 weeks ago and baby and everything else was just fine. Stay postive and don't worry. Stress raises your blood pressure and stay away from salt! Good luck and congrats!
