worried about miscarriage

Im 7 weeks pregnant and probably like any newmunmum to be in the first trimester extremely concerned about miscarriage.  I've started to move past the fatigue stage slightly now and have started feeling very nauseous mainly in the mornings.  I rush to the toilet but nothing comes up I just retch.  My boobs are still very tender but I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain and I'm worried that something is wrong.  This is my first pregnancy and I don't know if what I'm feeling is normal.  Can anyone help?

I've had two miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy before so I can honestly say that while the cramps of pregnancy felt similar,  they are different. Ectopic and miscarriage pain is intense and sharp and usually sticks around for several days to weeks where as with pregnancy it comes and goes in shorter timeframes. However, because ectopic pregnancy is so dangerous, if you are really worried you should confide in your doctor. They can check for ectopic pregnancy with an ultrasound to at least rule that out. Once that is ruled out, relax a bit. If your pain means a miscarriage then it is too late at that point to do anything about it. There is precious little you can actually do to prevent miscarriage if that is where your pregnancy is headed so relax and remember, stressing yourself out about it won't do you or your baby any good. Also, confide in your doctor, that is what they are there for. I am hoping for the best for you but I strongly suspect you are simply experiencing normal pregnancy pain. If you had miscarriage or ectopic pain at this point in your pregnancy,  you'd be so miserable, you wouldn't be just posting your concerns to a forum but you'd be calling a doctor to find out what is going on. Congrats, and good luck!

Don't worry so much as long as there's no real bleeding then u have nothing to worry about. Even light bleeding is usually normal but u always want to keep ur doc informed in what's going on. But yea everything sounds normal.

I'm 11w4d and I promise you the mild cramping is normal, there's a lot going on and your lady parts are preparing for the baby :-) I know it's hard not to worry, but in most cases it's all okay unless you have severe cramping and bleeding.
