thank you so much, that helps a lot too!!!
she's already told me no sex (which I've stayed away from anyway.. aside from being sick & stuff, I ALSO found out earlier this week I have a Subchorionic Hemorrhage.. which doesn't allow sex, heavy lifting, straining, etc.) sooo basically I do nothing! lol
I do have a full-time job though, but if need be I'll lay in bed for as long as I have to, to keep this baby in as long as possible! I also hope the specialist knows exactly what is best for me.. I go back to my OB April 24th (just went March 27th) so I know she's keeping an eye on it, but she wants the specialist to determine if/what I need to do in-between.. she's not sure if it's short enough for the stitch, or if the progesterone will suffice.. or maybe keeping an eye on it is good enough.. ugh, soooo much has happened this week, I'm exhausted!!! lol
again, thank you for your input!! I'm super curious about the length of my cervix!!! I'll definitely update on this asap.. thanks again!! ((((:
My doctor said anything longer than 3cm is considered within normal range... mine was at 4cm and is now at 3.3cm (last time they measured it)... a few years ago I talked to a lady who had a short cervix and she was pregnant with #2... she was on complete pelvic rest-- so no sex-- and she had to go in at a certain number of weeks (I wannna say between 14-20) and have a procedure where they reinforced it closed and she was put on bed rest for 4 weeks after the procedure... you may need to go on bed rest but im sure the specialist will know exactly what to do
wow, see I don't get that.. before the LEEP I asked if there would be any complications, and that doctor told me he only had to remove very, very, very little so it wouldn't be a big deal..
well, my OB thinks it's pretty short/small.. but not sure if I was just born this way, or what the deal is, but she doesn't want to judge it on her own so she's sending me to a specialist.
I'm definitely curious if I'll have to have a c-section once all is said & done, but I'm just worried about what I need to do to prevent it from getting any worse..
thank you so much for your response, it kind of helps me prepare as far as what I want/need to ask this specialist & be prepared for what's to come.. thank you again & I wish you luck as well!! ❤
My situation is sorta similar I had a cone shape biopsy done in 2012 in which dey cut a chunk of my cervix out dey told me not to conceive a child for a year to let my cervix heal but once da year was up itwas very hard to cconceive but after bout another year I conceived and I'm at risk because of the surgery I have to go every 4 weeks to get a ultrasound to make sure my cervix isn't getting shorter da bigger my baby grows I can be at risk 4 my cervix opening up early and I will most likely have to get a c - section which I don't want cus I pushed out my other kids very nervous praying dat everything works out.....
BUMP! (really curious if anyone has had anything done to their cervix due to it being too small/short) (((:
thank you SO much for your response! I'm praying this specialist reeeeeally knows what he/she is talking about & I can get it done soon! the last thing I want is to lose this baby, obviously, but it's driving me crazy that no one ever made me aware of this issue..
have you had to have anything done to your cervix???
I definitely want to know what my cervix measures at also..
thank you again, and I wish you well too! I'll keep everyone updated! ((:
I also had a Leep procedure years ago. My 1st pregnancy was a miscarriage. But my 2nd I had no complications no issues. Went full term very active & worked out regularly. This pregnancy I was told I have an insufficient cervix & at 20 weeks it was measuring at 8mms. A normal cervix should be 30mms. B4 this pregnancy it was never mentioned that something was wrong with my cervix. Wish you well dear!
