sora throat....

I've had a cold since last Monday and everyday my throat has hurt so bad that I just cry. Its been almost a week and it has not even changed. Idk what to do to take some of the pain away. Since its not strep I basically got told to suck it up and wait till it goes away. I can barley open my mouth cause it hurts so bad and just breathing in air hurts bad :/ I tried honey but it just gave me bad heart burn. I'm 33 weeks, anyone have any advice? Thanks.

Check with your dr, but my ob told me I could take robitussin dm. It's non drowsy, but calmed my cough enough for me to be able to get more than an hour of sleep a night, and not be coughing all day.

Thank you guys, I'm going to try those lozenges and if its still this bad tomorrow I'm going to call my ob,he was not there last week cause of holiday and ask about the Tylenol cold and the sudefed. I'm not high risk but I'm on watch for being high risk cause I had preeclampsia with my first but I was never this sick with her.

Tylenol, hot tea, popcicles, or gargle with warm salt water. I got sick around 33 weeks and my doctor told me it was okay to take Tylenol cold and flu.
