I was going to post a question about this, myself. It absolutely hurts. So bad. I wish there was something we could take to ease the pain. It wakes me up all times during the night. I find sleeping with a pillow between my legs eases it off a little. . But that's all I have found that works. I've had it since I was about 20 weeks. I'm 35 weeks no. Wish I could say it got better. Iv had it through out my pregnancy & it's progressed symptoms from oain ib my hips & EXTREME pressure when I'd stand it felt like my insides was going to fall out ! And the it moved to my legs with the pressure . At night is when I feel the pelvic spd pgp pain like moving from left to right or trying to get out of bed ! It's a different kind of pain than the pressure of course just EXCURCIATING PAIN like to joint bones Eventually it has went from just night to ALL DAY effecting me daily all day ... like trying to walk , drive my car , can't cross my legs bc of the pain , taking a bath and trying to get up hurts extremely bad so I get on my knees to help pull myself out of a warm bath . Trying to put on my cloths waist down hurts ! I mean I'm not sure your pain level but I'm convinced iv got it as bad as it gets :*( , so I feel your pain . Iv got crutches & my husband will push me in a wheel chair sometimes as well . I wanted to buy a pgp belt not the one just around the belly but goes up and around the pelvic .
It scares me to give birth vaginally bc of my pain level just from the spd on you of pushing out a child ! It's git me freaked out . Not all woman get it but it's more common in pregnancy or to get after giving birth as well . So hopefully it goes away afterwards but it can stay for a while after birth as well .

I also have SPD and wear a maternity belt provided by physio. Unfortunately it doesnt go away until you have baby. I have had it since 20wks and am now 36+4. The only thing i can suggest is plenty of rest. I was given a sheet of advice and what not to do. You need to speak to a physiotherapist. X
Also bare in mind when u go into labour and if its a vaginal birth, get on all 4s. This will distribute ur weight alot more evenly and take the pressure off ur pelvis.keep reminding midwife and docs that u can not open ur legs. Also if u end up having a c-section, remind them when getting epidural or spinal block about the spd cos if they open ur legs u can end up with a dislocated pelvis or pubic joints.u wont notice until the epidural wears off, then u wud be in agony! Best of luck with it, hope my advice helps a bit.
