Usually at 28 weeks unless their is reason to do it before.. like previously having gestational diabetes..
Thank you sooo much ladies!!!!! Thanks for the info really appreciate it
I have a kidney disease and am considered high risk so I had one done at 15 weeks. Not sure if they will do one again though. 8 was wondering at what they point it's normally done.
Had mine at 28 weeks. I heard horror stories about it but it wasn't that bad. You have to drink something that tasted like a melted gummy bear and sit around for an hour. Good luck!
Between 24 and 28 weeks usually.
They do it around 28 29weeks
I don't remember when it's done but it's a test to check for gestational diabetes. Just because you have never had diabetes before doesn't mean you can't be at risk during your pregnancy or from one pregnancy to the next for that matter. Simple test really. They make you chug a super sugary drink and after so long they draw blood to check your levels. I would guess they'll do it at your next appointment. They normally tell you ahead of time so you don't eat or drink anything overly sugary (like pop or candy and such) because that will mess with the results.
