Question ladies any of you out here in California going out on disability leave for your pregnancy? This is my first time having a baby and going out on leave and was just curious about when will I receive my first pay from EDD, I put down for my claim to start on the day my Dr is putting me out which is 11/9...I was looking forward to working up until my due date but my Dr suggest that's not a good idea....your help is appreciated ladies...Thank you!!!

I just put my claim in about a week and a half ago online. Online is a whole lot faster. It's already processed, now im just waiting for my first payment to come in which shouldn't be too long from now.

Hello I'm from California too! I was put on disability early on in my pregnancy too and I didn't get my first check until a month after my claim.

Hi I'm in CA..I've been on disability for a while I can tell you just file your claim online its way way faster...you get paid every 2 weeks..it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get first payment...good luck hun!
