struggling with gestational diabetes

I'm struggling to eat right. I'm not hungry for the right foods. My test levels are always hypoglycemic when I eat right so I stopped my diet and eat most of what I want except anything with sugar, and most of the time stay away from fast carbs. Despite not sticking to the strict diet my sugar levels are now normal.  I'm so confused by all of this. I know the inns and outs of the disorder, I know my test results aren't really making sense. Has anybody else struggled with this disorder so I don't feel so alone here. Wish I knew what was going on.

Lol, I hear ya. I still have a max of 10 weeks to go!! I am thinking that the dr may induce me though. Due to my family history and big bubba.

I don't mind pricking my finger that much. Just developed a sweet tooth while pregnant so its hard to resist the sweets but I do. I found some safe cheatoptions. My blood sugar most of the time has been fine except for getting hypoglycemic..I can't wait for this diet to be over though. Soon, very soon it will be

You monitor your BSL because then the dr has a hard copy of which way your going and what treatments you will need. If you stick the the correct diet and still have high levels then your can be a candidate for insulin, and possibly other necessary medical interventions. Also it helps determine how your baby will be when it gets here.
I have to test mine 4 times a day too, and since testing its been normal. I am over feeling like a pin cushion but believe its necessary so will suck it up and keep on pricking my finger.

Yep, I have to do the blood sugar test 4 times a day and write it down which I don't understand why is it that my blood sugar is so high if when I do it the results are normal, I'm eating less, I lost weight, so I don't understand why, so I'm gonna talk to my dr on monday tp see what he says about it

Yea my doctor says despite cheating the diet I'm managing it well bc the baby's growth is in perfect range now. She also said eat more complex carbs bc of getting hypoglycemic. So I'm a.diabetic who needs more complex carbs lol kinda funny to me

I understand where you are coming from. I have been hypoglycemic for years and always had lows to normal sugars with my other pregnancies but now at 26 Weeks with number 4 i'm running high and i'm freaking out cause I eat healthy to begin with. only I don't have my gtt till next week :(
