swelling feet and job problems.. HELP-NEED ADVICE!

OK all..I need help. I have been at my job for 2 years and bust my butt there. I got a job promotion just days before I found out I was pregnant. This is my first and now 27 weeks. I work for a cellphone CO and we do not sit down..standing and walking for 9 or 10 hrs everyday. They have already made me feel like my pregnancy is a disability and seem to blame that on EVERY MISTAKE..though I have never called in..now my feet are swelling to the point they look disfigured and miscolored when I get home..should I ask for a stool? Can they use this  against me if I do? Or any advice on how to minimize the swelling? Sorry so long.. Guess it was a bit of a rant as well

Thanks again! I will def talk to my dr prior to work so I have some back up.I try very hard not to complain about being tired or being in pain even though these things are happening..but within the last 2 weeks my feet are getting so much worse! I dont even recognize them when the shoes come off! I can't believe your job baby Madison 01 has been having you on a ladder. Ppl suck!

My job is the same way I work in bed bath and beyond and I'm on my feel all day and I'm 21weeks they treat my pregnancy like a disability to they don't understand that I get tired easily and my feel swell up to and I just put my feet up. I will step off the floor to put them up for 5-10min it's reccomened! I'm also on 12ft ladders and have to get a note for that cuz they are not understanding. My associates are but not my main boss. And yes ask for a stool

They are obligated to support you.
Yes it may be a inconvenience, but this is nothing you should have to hear about.
Next time they hint anything about the sort -that it's an inconvenience -true or not,
Ask them bluntly: "you wish I wasn't pregnant?"
or statement: "well. Now I AM pregnant, so instead of stating the issues -do we have any solutions?"
Make them THINK.

Good luck.

I think after 20 weeks its not recommended to be on your feet more than 4 hours at a time. That may be why you have so much swelling.

Thank you. I have been feeling semi discriminated against..I have never had any problems or "complaints" before being pregnant..now that's all I hear about.. they don't even seem to take into  consideration I got this new job title w new responsibilities at the same time I prepare for the biggest life change of my existence.. which is why I am almost afraid to bring up my feet..I don't want to give them anymore amo to use against me..

Sounds like my job. Get a note from your dr stating that you need to sit as needed. They need to accommodate you because if is from a medical professional. Hope all goes well. Take care of yourself and your baby first.

I think they have to accomodate you. I would get a doctor's note stating you need to be able to sit as needed. I would think its discrimination and they shouldn't be treating you badly. Ultimately you've got to look out for you and yours. Do what you have to do. Good luck!
