swimming

Hello i am 19 weeks 20 on friday. Went swimming in our heated pool and seemed to get a little bit of pain in my lower right stomach. Not sure what it was but kinda scared me a little bit any comments? Anybody swim or know what feeling im talking about?

Its not hot like a hot tub! I asked doctor ans told her the temp gets to about 95 or so and she said that its perfectly fine. Thanks ladies

I swim but not in a heated pool. That isn't good for the baby. Be careful when moving in the water cause you can move to fast and cause lower abdominal pain.

It depends on how hot the water was. It is not recommended for pregnant women to go into any hot tubs or saunas because the heat makes it uncomfortable for the baby. The amniotic fluid heats up n when it's like burning the baby. That's what my doctor advised me and I also read it on line. Be careful with getting in hot tubs

I used to swim/do water aerobics in my earlier months and if I did any sudden movements I'd get round ligament pain. It's nothing to be scared of but you definitely have to watch your movement as you get bigger. Sometimes your ligaments pull and causes pain but it should be temporary. I'm 31 weeks and 5 days BTW ☺
