I hear you won't even know if it happened. You have those absorbent pads under you, so the nurses just whisk it away quickly. I'm sure the doctor wouldn't draw undue attention to it, they want you focused on pushing. :)
True story. You won't know, you probably will poop cause well that happens but they won't tell you
Well I think you will know if someone starts cleaning you
Yall aren't worried about it
You wont know. Lol and you wont feel them cleaning you. They are wiping blood and everything else. Trust me. You wont know.
Yeah, maybe. I had an epi so I was numb and so not paying attention to anything anyone did. I was so tired. I asked my husband if I did, he said no, but he may have been lying. I guess I assumed they would wait till you were done pushing since they have to clean you up then anyway, and a lot of women don't push for very long. Maybe that's dumb of me, lol.
That didn't happen to me with my first...but did happen to a few of my friends. I'm now on baby number 2. So we will see.
But won't you be able to know when it starts smelling?
I honestly have no idea if I did or did not when I gave birth to my son. The doctors are actually really good and don't even tell you or make it obvious or anything. And regardless of whether you poop or not they have to clean you up after you deliver because of all the blood and stuff so I wouldn't be too concerned. Its completely natural to have a bowel movement when you deliver and the doctors are prepared for it. They have down these mats under you so that it doesn't make a mess. And you're so caught up in the moment that you don't even pay attention to what's going on down there. Good luck! I was worried about it too but when I was in labor that was literally the last thing on my mind! And I'm like you, I'm modest. I don't fart in front of anyone either so I understand your concern. You'll be alright though :)
Since we are on this topic, I think I would be shy to pass gas, too, and having it sound really loud and making the room smell bad....
You won't be able too tell hunny no worries
I was worried about that too but fortunately, no poop came out while I pushed. The doctor did have to break my water during labor and it splashed ALL over her, was embarrassing but these doctors are so used to it
I'm a nurse and yes it happens often but do not fret we don't even tell u we just clean it up and get ready to catch that baby!
U won't know. Nobody tells u. I asked my husband after he said no I didnt. But I know ppl who have(girl talk. Lol) that's the last thing ur dr is worried about! I remember having to fart and I got a little embarrassed and wanted to hold it in. But so much going on ur like forget it lol
Omg this is so funny.. it actually is very common.. I did have a bowel movement with my first.. no it did not smell yes I noticed that was the last thing on my mind.. everything was all exposed anyway.. I've always been so constipated my bowel movement was tiny I'm sure... the nurse caught it wrap it in her glove and threw it down into the trash and put on another glove... that's what I call a great nurse to be able to do that no problem.. with my second I didn't. As long as you don't have diarrhea it's not a big issue
I was nervous about this with my first baby! It totally happened to me. There is nothing you can do about it. I was too preoccupied with the pain of the contractions that i didnt even notice. The nurse takes care of it discreetly! The nurses have seen everything so they are used to it! Thank goodness for nurses!
Well you won't notice. You'll be busy with other things
Oh yes it happened to me with my first child, I thought he was coming and I wanted to push unfortunately it was that, but like everyone said the nurses are so good about it and she did not make me feel any least uncomfortable..... The only embarrassment was that my partner and friends were in the room at the time, lol
I pooped n I knew it. They just wiped n kept talking. U feel like u have to poop but sometimes u don't know if it's the baby or poo. I didn't care it natural
Funny story, I was in the delivery room and it was still early in the pushing, they were more like practice pushes, when the Dr walks by me and says with a big smile as she nodded her head in approval, "that's good!" And here I am asking the nurse, "what's good?" And she replies, "oh nothing sweetie, u just went poo poo on the table!". My reply, "I did????? I'm SOOOO embarrassed!!!! She said, "No, honey don't be embarrassed! We see that all the time and it just means ur pushing correctly!". Needless to say, I was still embarrassed, but laughing about it...lol. So yea, that was 9 yrs ago and u can only imagine how often that happens!! Mind u, my hoohaa was fully bushed out as well...lol.
Pregnant with my third.... And trust me, there are so many things going on with your body while giving birth, a measly poop is the least of your worries
I didn't poop but I did fart and we all laughed
All I have to say it while you trying to push your baby out you are not going to care lol
Omg now I really nervous I hope I have a good nurse that doesn't say anything
