bleeding at 11 weeks.. is this normal? what could be the cause??

I'm 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant.  Last night around 630pm I had a sharp pain on my left side and then about 15 mins later I felt a flow come out of me.  I went to the bathroom to check it out and sure enough I was bleeding!  It was bloody when I wiped and as I sat on the toilet it still came out.  Now I've felt a little crampy for a few days now but thought nothing of it since there was no bleeding and it want trouble pain.  I assumed they were growing pains.  SO ANYWAY- I went straight to the er. They did blood test and an ultrasound.  THANKS BE TO GOD that everything came back normal.  Hcg levels had been rising.. And the ultrasound def reassured me.  My little baby was in there flipping, turning, and dancing for me!  ... and a strong heartbeat to boot!   They er doctors say they can't find a reason for my bleeding.  My question is HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS?  DID THEY FIND A REASON FOR THE BLEEDING? HOW LONG DID IT LAST?  My apologies that this is so long..  But I didn't experience this with my daughter and I've had 4 other miscarriages....  My mind is boggled. Pleeeeeeease help!

You could have had a burst cyst From your ovary. Hormones that are created during pregnancy can make cysts pretty big and then burst.

I had this happen w the pain and it was a ruptured cyst. It sounds a lot like what happened to you....
