gender..next ultrasound

So today at my 13 week appt i asked my dr when my next ultrasound would be. He said probably 23-24 weeks! And then he mentioned that they dont do the ultrasound to find out the gender. He said if the tech sees it then i can ask but thats not why they are doing it. He wasnt rude about it but im kind if disappointed... i dont want to wait till 24 weeks to find out AND they may not even tell me. suggestions?  :)

I only got 2 ultrasounds 1 when I was 14 weeks then again at 19 weeks found out it was a girl .. now im 39 weeks and due Saturday and I havent seen my baby since she was 19 weeks makes me nervous like wht if something happened within those weeks? R her fluids low everything has ran tru my mind and they dont plan on giving me any more :/

Its so far away! Lol.. i should just be patient.  Im just jealous bc i think most find out around 18-20 weeks

I would just wait until the scheduled appointment, they'll let you know for sure :)

October pumpkin is right. It's actually anatomy scan but they will tell u on the gender. I'm not sure if what the girls are talking about is the same thing as a 4d ultrasound place. They usually do gender reveal.

My office changes 15 bux to check gender. Ask your office to get an extra one.  It's usually that way because your insurance will only pay for 2 and they want to do them at the most crucial parts of pregnancy has nothing to do with the office.  I'm in the same position but my 2 are at 19 weeks (TODAY! ) and again at 28-29!

^^^^true, I did that too, we paid like $60 and got the gender reveal and found out at 15 weeks :)

Oh good! Wish it was a little sooner but i can reveal it during Christmas!

If you can afford it go to an outside place to get one done...I didn't want to wait til 20 weeks so I did what they call a gender peek...I payed 50 buks and it's only to check baby gender...they start doing them as early as 15 weeks...Good luck :-)

They will tell you the gender, but that isn't the reason for the ultrasound. It is an anatomy scan to make sure baby has all of it's organs and everything via growing as it should. But they WILL tell you the gender, they just want people to be aware that there's more to it than that.
