water breaking?

For those who have had a couple kids... if your water breaks with your 1st born does it break with your children after that? Reason I am asking with my 1st I never had braxton hicks and when my water broke I didnt know I was having contraxtions. Im scared if my water doesnt break I wont know im in labor lol sounds dumb I am sure but I just want other peoples stories

With my first three the doctor broke my water for me. I was told that generally if the doctor does it once they will have to do it every time after because it won't do it on its own. Well when I had my son it broke on its own 7 weeks early. This time around I'll just have to wait and see.

My water didn't break with either of mine. My first son I was induced and they broke my water. My second son I started having contractions and by the time I was in full labor my water still hadn't broke so they broke it. With this pregnancy I'm sure it could go either way. Regardless, when you go into labor you'll have contractions and you'll know you're in labor with or without your water breaking :)

My older sister's broke at home with my.nephew. she just had my neice in May and she told me her water never broke on its own with her. The dr broke it at the hospital.

My sister in law has 2 children and both times her water broke at home.

My 1st pregnancy I had a c section so idk what its like to experience contractions,  labor and all that. Im hoping I get to experience it all this time since im going for vbac.

With my first pregnancy my water didn't break until i was pushing the baby out. And i was like, what was that,  then the dr told me that my water broke. So, I'm not sure.
