inducing ??

hi..
I'm being induced on my due date. . 23rd of jan.. as I suffer with severe pelvic girdle pain  and they won't allow me to go over thankfully.
I've never been induced before and don't really no much about it.. like what they do? how they do it? how long does it take ? etc
wondering if anyone could give some answers or personal experiences.
This is my second baby if that makes any difference

thanks in advance x

Ive had both and for me being induced is actually better!! Either way its painful but you alwaya have the option to get pain meds! I always got started with pitocin and then once ypu get dilated enough if it don't break on its own then they break your water now I suggest of u already plan on getting the epidural get it before they break your water!! Then for me the baby comes right away!!! Good luck and dont be too worries or scared! Ypu finally get to meet the lil Angel thats been growing inside of you for 10months!!!!

i have been induced twice and have never had a bad experience other than I've heard it is more painful than natural deliveries with my second pregnancy I was induced and took it all natural no meds and will repeat it all over again and plan on doing it natural with this one as it will be my last one best wishes

ooops sorry had to reread your question
. with mine they hooked up a fetal monitor through my vagina to my sons head broke my water sack and gave me pitocin through my i.v. very soon after the pitocin was administered i started experiencing strong fast hard contractions..i decided to get the epidural 6 cm dialation as my family that was in the room kept bugging me to “take the drugs".(i wanted to do it naturally) it took bout 8-9 hours  contracting for him to arrive..bout 20 minutes pushing. oh and before i decided to get the epidural they had given me a shot of demerol which i didn't want but was told i didn't have a choice also like the catheter they made me have. i didn't have the monitor inside ths catheter or the demerol with my second second child and was just such a better experience. although everyone is different... good luck

that's my moms birthday:-):-)
i personally never want to be induced ever again...it was a very hard painful labor for me.
was induced with my first almost 10 years ago...my second came on his own and currently 5 days away from my due date have decided that i want to wait it out and let him decide when to come unless medically necessary. longest i could wait will be jan 25th though i imagine, cause don't think they'd let me go pasy 42 weeks

I wouldn't get induced bc it can make ur baby go into distress and u will have to do an emergency c section but that's bc they give u medication to help u go in labor and if baby isn't ready if ur baby's body isn't turned right like mine was then it won't be good for baby i had to have a c section bc my cervix wouldn't open for her to come so we planned my c section and those aren't bad I'd much rather get c section then get induced they say it hurts really bad getting induced
