I don't understand!!!!!

I'm 37wks 5days. My OB is having my blood pressure checked every 2 days cause it's been so high. I call the OBs office today to say I'm dizzy, have a major headache and my legs and feet are swollen (so bad I couldn't wear my flip flops). They send me to the hospital. They check baby. He's doing good. They check my blood pressure (which was up and down). The nurse agreed that my legs and feet were very swollen. They run a urine test and blood work.

At this point my legs looked worse then when I came in. They sent me home!!!! I look at my friend as we're leaving and ask how swollen do I have to be before they decide I can stay? I'm getting very upset and not understanding what I'm not doing right or is it them???

Sorry for venting. Any advice or opinions would be great. Thanks!!

I've been in so much pain (stomach, legs, feet and back) yesterday and this morning that it's insane. I'd go to the hospital but I don't wanna freaking get sent home. It seems like the OB doesn't care and it makes me made.

They done the same thing to my sister. She was swollen horribly but they wouldn't do anything. She stayed that way until she finally delivered.

Thanks for your comments. It's confusing cause this is my first and idk what going on and everyone (friends and family) all say the hospital should keep me. Then they get mad. I'm trying my best to stay calm and relaxed but it's hard.

What you have described shows symptoms of pre-eclampsia. However, if the urine test came back negative for protein and blood work came back normal and baby is fine, I wouldn't worry too much. As for the high blood pressure, considering your close time line, it is expected. If you can, take it easy and elevate your legs on a pillow to be above your heart. Sounds crazy but it works. The only way they will admit you is if the tests came back abnormal and the baby's health was affected by the signs and symptoms.
Hope this helps!
