I use my slow cooker a lot. Pinterest has so many easy recipes for it.
I love my slow cooker lol and I also make extras every night so hubby has some to take for lunch and then theres either enough leftover for me for lunch too or I freeze a portion for after son arrives and I cant be bothered lol
I love my crock pot! I use it at least 4 times a week. Tonight was chicken alfredo. 3cups broccoli (can use frozen) 1red bell pepper chopped, chicken strips (we have a Wegmans grocery has pre cut chicken strips/ stir fry). Throw in crock pot with a jar of alfredo sauce on low 4-6 hrs and serve over noodles.
I'm going to make homemade red beans and rice n sweet corn bread
I want real food so bad but I just can't be around raw meat right now the smell is horrible and my hubby is gone for 2 more weeks! Lol
I made a curry chicken. Today is the first time I've cooked in almost a week.
My husband is making some hot wings and bbq wings tonight. Im just so glad he is home. Yesterday it was grab your own dinner. Oldest had hormel chili and fritos, youngest had yogurt and granola, and my floor and counters had granola too :( lol hes out grocery shopping now and im supoosed to be cleaning up but im so nauseated.... ladies feel free to post recipes or some good websites that have them if you can remember what they are haha, I know I have the case of the pregnancy forgetful brain.
I've found a new love for my crock pot/slow cooker. He's on base till tomorrow but tomorrow will be Corned Beef &Cabbage I'll throw it in @ 8am and forget about it till 4.
I make a few things this way and then will make a batch of rice or pasta on the side.
When he's home he's great about cooking too :)
When I cook I try and make enough for two nights. For example, I'm making chicken Parmesan tonight and that will last my husband and I until tomorrow. For my lazy days I just bought TV dinners and my husband cooks steaks. :)
I think I have been making chicken and dumplings at least once a week because its so easy. My husband isnt home everyday due to work, he travels. On the plus side we just bought a small frezzer.
Im the exact way. Need to find quick fix meals he can whip up. But I'm just now into second tri so hopefully I'll be feeling better soon an it won't be a problem
Yea I have the same problem. I try to also have warm up & skillet meals on backup just in case neither me or hubby don't feel like really cooking. My hubby has stepped up a lot though. He made homemade pizza, salad and breadsticks.
