I way over packed....but thats just me. Im always well what if....(and ive done it for all three kids!)
had my baby recently and the only things I used was my shower stuff, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair ties, brushe, chapstick...whatever you need for your every day toiletries. A few pairs of socks and underwear and bras and sweatpants. I breastfed so I packed a few tanks that are easy access for baby to feed and a cardigan to cover up when up and about or walking around. As for baby I didnt need anything. Other than an outfit to bring him home in and a blanket to cover him up in the car seat. The hospital provided pads for me, diapers, wipes, sleepers for baby, and onesies and a pacifier. We had to go back the day after we were released due to baby being jaundice and I was not allowed to breastfeed for the 24 hours he was under the lights They again provided the diapers and wipes and formula.

Going home outfit, outfit you want to take pictures in for you and the baby, car seat, blankets, your toiletries- like deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, the diaper bag, a camera...
your not going to need diapers or wipes-- they will give you them at the hospital...

oh and be sure to bring your makeup bag...

Usually they keep you for a couple days. Couple out fits for baby, baby pjs, an outfit for the 1st picture, pacifier, some diapers/wipes, bottles/formula if you're bottle feeding, hygiene supplies for yourself, and some nursing pads for leakage lol. The hospital usually supplies pads (cool ones that you can whack on a counter and they turn into ice packs) and baby bathing supplies while you're there.

You want to bring shower supplies, tooth brush, hair brush and hair ties, then some comfy socks and a going home outfit for you and baby and pajamas you won't mind getting dirty! Cell phone charger and some pads for after birth ( hospital might have them for you) camera if you have one and your id and insurance card! That's all I can think of right now haha I'm a ftm as well
