There is a difference between unique and a bunch of letters that don't make a name. Like spelling faith as phath and looking at people crazy because they don't get it. Or naming a kid zaphrine and trust me those were the most normal of the non-names I am speaking of.
Sandysweets Sorry but i read the name getsemani as in "get some money"for real.
I really dont mind special cute names as long i can pronounce and remember it lol our generation is mixed race u gonna hear names u find wierd but it's normal to one parent.i
I like names that are unique but not too far out there, so far everyone loves the name we picked for our little girl & I've never met anyone with it before! Sarah, Paul, Jacob, Ashley-boring. We all know people with those names! Nothing wrong with being unique! I think people need to be open-minded. I agree that abcde, blanket & apple for a name are a bit stupid but honestly, it doesn't effect me & who am I to judge?!
Alize Hennessy Johnson will find it hard to get a job hopefully she is an entrepreneur. The name is made up but there are children out here with these names. A name is not just a something you put together it should be intimate and have meaning. Not that it is right but it is not just children that are making fun of kids names adults are judging their appearance and their names and drawing conclusions about their upbringing. Sad but true. So you may want your child to have a name that no one else has but please don't get upset when it is mispronounced/misspelled and someone draws a conclusion about you that may or may not be correct.
I love traditional names. I agree that too many children are being named weird or too unique. I try to stay away from the top 10 most popular names too though. My daughter is Hanna and if we have another girl will be Allison if a boy Jamie.
