Gender prediction

Is there any mid-wives tails to predict the gender before the ultrasound. I tried the Chinese birth chart and it was wrong with my first. I also DoD the ring on a string and it went both ways along with the needle and pencil on the string. I wanted to try as many as I can just for fun. I'm to early to even have a bump yet. Any idea...thanks

Don't trust any old wives tales, there just that, tales. We found out it was a girl through normal 2D ultrasound at 15 weeks. I know it's exciting to find out, but getting your hopes up on fiction is worse.

My doctor said that they have new technology that can determine the sex at 10 weeks, but the results take 2 weeks to get back. I believe it's some kind of blood work.

Do it in a clear/glass cup so it's easier to see.

10 weeks is way to early for them to tell what the sex is. You can get a 4d ultrasound at 16 weeks and they can probably tell but the obgyn usually tells you between 18-20 weeks. And its hard to say when it comes to the myths bc its only 50/50 chance.

I did the baking soda test, put a table spoon of baking soda in one cup and pee in another, then pour the pee into the cup with the baking soda, if it foams up like a beer head foam then it's a boy and if it fizzles a little or does nothing then it's a girl,  mine foamed right up to the beer head so boy I guess for me lol and I had my fiancĂ© do it and it did nothing so maybe it does work? I also did the ring on a necklace and it said boy so we'll see. I'm 13 weeks and 5 days. I wouldn't spend the money on that gender test bc it may not even be accurate so wouldn't waste the money. The other tests are mainly for fun! : )
