winter baby

Im due at the end of January and it shall be cold. We have a zip up cover for the car seat, is it necessary to have a winter suit to? I think she would over heat? Should I get the suit and take off the cover when I get her in the car?

Im due the end of this month and was told to avoid the heavy body suits because they can interfere with the car seat if a crash happened.  Also if you just use layers of blankets once baby is strapped in you can add and remove them as necessary to keep them from being too hot or cold. I also got the zip up cover but I plan on using that more for walks with the stroller then in the heated car

I'm due January 17 and I have a car seat cover as well. I had planned on using the car seat cover as well as the best suit depending on how cold it will be. The car seat covers are not designed to zip all the way up and could not suffocate baby. You just have to determine for yourself whether it will be cold enough for you to need both. But the worst thing to me is when baby catches a cold and how hard it is for them to breath. That is what encouraged me to strap my baby up when we leave the hospital because we are traveling for a little while and I don't want him to end up sick simply because I thought that he would over heat. Do what you think is best based on the weather surrounding you
