Help! I'm scared

This morning I went to the bathroom and when I wiped myself, there was blood. I'm not feeling any pain or anything. I just turned 24 weeks today. What's happening? I'm so scared.

Have you had any pelvic exams or sex in the past day? Both of those can cause spotting. I would still call your dr or midwife to be safe.

No I haven't done any of those things. I'm waiting for the doctor's office to open to call them.

I'm glad you are calling, my doctor say that any amount of blood is enough to call. If you know which hospital you are delivering at you can also call labor and delivery and see if they would have you come in.

So I went to the doctor's office today and he sent me to the hospital to do a ultrasound. The technician said that I had a short cervix and that I'm a high risk for early labor. I had a Leep procedure done five years ago and it shorten my cervix. It's a good thing I went to the doctor's because I never knew that I was a high risk for early labor. Thank God my baby is okay. I'm on bed rest for two weeks.

Good thing they caught it early... Also try to elevate your legs... Put a bunch of pillows under your upper thigh... It will do wonders... Just take it easy
