That's what I did/doing. My first pregnancy was easy that I literally worked right up to when I went into labor. Hoping for the same with this pregnancy. I'm trying to save my time off for when baby is born also. New job, so I don't have a lot of time off
With my first bb i worked 5 days till he was born n he was 2 weeks early!
I plan on working till my water breaks lol so I can spend my entire 12 weeks with my daughter
I am planning to work till the last day. but i guess it depends on kind of work you do, what if it gets more physically demanding for you, be careful. I have an office job and though i didn't even tell anybody at work yet, i hope to ask for a couple of last week for some sort of arrangement, work from home, maybe. We are given 12 weeks on unpaid maternity leave, so I am planning to use it after the baby is born, it won't do anything for me if i take time off before it.
I plan on working up until labor- I sometimes envision my water breaking at work lol- I have a desk job though so I sit all day- if I was on my feet more I might take leave a bit sooner
If I could have, I would have worked until the baby came.
I plan to work until the week of my due date. I work in an office so it is not physically demanding. If I take 8 weeks it gets me past thanksgiving, so that works out best. :)
I am a dialysis nurse and that is my plan. I want to spend all the time I can with my son!!
I say work as long as you feel comfortable.
Thank you ladies! I'm due Nov 4th. So if I take around Oct 25th, until Jan 2 (my plan) I get all the Holiday's off! My favorite time of year. I dream about snuggling on the couch with my daughter while its freezing out and my x-mas trees all light up!!!!
My last day of work is August 30th. I'm due September 8th.
I worked till I was 39 wks 2 days. Had my first at 39wk 4 days. :-) I was on my feet about 5 out of 8 hrs a day as a preschool teacher. I worked up to 3 days before my second and I did home day care. Plan to work all the way to the end as an p/t secretary this time around. :-) as long as you and baby are healthy, work as long as you can or want.
I Plan on saving my vaca time and using it the week before I'm due. But I've had each of my babies early sooo I'm a little worried, since our vacation time doesn't roll over, the extra overtime pay I would get would be nice but I want to take my full 12 weeks of for bonding, and our family will be in town! Super excited to have the holidays off!!! Due Dec 24th
