The dreaded Weight question....

Anyone feel like sharing their weight loss progess since having their baby?

I will start....

I weighed 148 when I went into the hospital to have her
I weighed 143 when I came home from the hospital
I weighed 129 yesterday morning

I know that all the fluids they pumped into me before, during, and after surgery caused a spike in my weight.  When I came home from the hospital I did not have ankles AT ALL.  My legs were HUGE, and my stomach still look pregnant.  Amazingly I have dropped 14 pounds of fluids and such since returning home from the hospital.  I'd like to think, and to praise breastfeeding for this quick loss.

Ava still has her cord!!!!  Last night while clothe bathing her, I jerked on it a little and she began to scream bloody murder.  I think I'll have the Pedi look at it this Friday.  I am so ready for that thing to drop.  Did any of you keep it?

Chantal21 - I LOVE it when Ava poops... it make me feel sooo good inside knowing how well she is nurished.  =)

My lil guy poops and pees like crazy!!! lol. He seems to be soaking wet every 2 hours. He goes poopie (more like has explosions!) at least 4 times a day! That is funny about Ava and her "flooding". lol. She just saves it especially for daddy! =)
Jeremiah was jaundice in the beginning...I think every baby is to a certain degree. He wasn't too bad and he had one last "blow out" on the 4th day and the next day his color was perfect!
HIs umbilical cord fell off exactly when he was a week old. I was actually suprised because I thought he would have it for at least 2 weeks.
He will be one month this friday....I cannot believe it!! Hubby wants to take me out this friday so I am trying to pump so I can leave Jeremiah with my parents...but he drains me!! lol...I can hardly ever pump and when I do I don't get a whole lot it seems. If he takes a 3-4 hour nap I can usually get a lot of milk...other than that, pumping is almost useless at times. I guess that can be a good thing! At leastI know he is eating pretty well! =)
It's too cute now....He is starting to really stare at me and just about smile now....I love it! =)

I know what you mean.  I have to pump mine sometimes at night because they become so engorged.  She sleeps good at night.  Does your little man have alot of poopie and pee pee diapers?  Ava has times where she will go hours without a really wet diaper, and then all of a sudden the dam breaks and she floods EVERYTHING, funny she mostly does that in the evening when Daddy is home.  She had a big'ol blow out yesterday too while I was grocery shopping.  I came home and Daddy was giving her a bath.  =)  Mommy's milk IS the best.  Everyone around me is so proud that I am breastfeeding her.  Even though she is still a little jaundice she is looking amazing.  She has a perfect color, like her Daddy of course.  =)

How long did it take for his umbilicol cord to fall off?  Ava is two weeks old today and she still has hers.

I am actually nursing him right now and trying to type with one hand...lol.     5%??? that's it? that is so sad! momma's milk is best in my mind...there are times i feel like he isn't satisfied after like 4 feedings in a row...but i have to remember that the more he nurses, the more milk i will produce for him...right? last week we went up to NY (about 3-4 hours away) so i pumped in case he got hungry. he slept the whole way!!! =) after i pumped, i noticed i had way more milk than normal and my bbs hurt so bad they needed to be emptied! It's very easy to get discouraged when breastfeeding...it's nice to have support on here! =)

Keep on breastfeeding girl!  Did you know that statistically only 5% of women breastfeed their babies?

Cool!  We've all been lucky!  My sister-n-law was not so lucky, but she admits that she used pregnancy as a tool to eat any and EVERYTHING she wanted.  I did too, but I also stayed pretty active.

I think walking is one of the best exercises for losing weight.  I have begun walking with my Fiance' at night.  We've started out slowly... just walking our neighborhood.. I didn't want to push it too much with only having the c-section two weeks ago.

I am looking forward to my baby body though, honestly.  I am proud to be a mommy, and am proud of my efforts in working on my figure, but at the same time not going to the extreme and starving myself like soo many women do these days.

Oh the dreaded weight! LOL  Well actually it hasn't been so bad for me thankfully. I gained exactly 30 pounds during my pregnancy. When I went into labor I was
204 (YUCK!) (then again I am pretty tall) weighed myself 2 days later and weighed 189. 3 weeks after giving birth I weigh in at 181. Almost back to my pre-preggo weight (174) but I hope to be down to 150 sometime this summer. Breastfeeding is amazing!! LOL I have been in bed most of the time doing nothing but feeding him, and weight just seems to fall right off!! =) I'm amazed.
