alright sounds good...my plan is to get my butt to the library tomorrow! and yes blue genie lets plan for that then we can just check in with everyone to see when theyre ready and stuff...this should be fun! and hopefully we learn something while we're at it! lol
Don't worry, I am in the same boat! I was supposed to go to the library yesterday, but felt so yucky I didn't leave the house! I have to go out tomorrow, so I will stop by and get it then. :)
I'm stopping by the bookstore today to pick up the book. Do we want to plan maybe on discussing the first two chapter starting next Monday? I'm not sure how long the chapters are so if that's too much time/not enough we can always change that if anyone wants to. I'm looking forward to starting this!
haha im so bad, i started this club and i havent got the book yet!! our library is currently closed for rennovations so i have to go to the next town over to get it! although i suppose i could buy it lol im so cheap! ugh ok no one has to wait for my slow but t either...just wait to discuss chapters!!
I want to join too! I will go out and get Belly Laughs tomorrow. :)
Awesome, I haven't gotten the book yet but I will order it today or go out and get it... You guys don't have to wait on me... I'll catch up!!!
i think thats a good idea
I think everyone can read at there own pace but only discuss certain chapters. For example I may read through chapter 5, but week 1 we only discuss like the first 2 or 3 chapters. What do you guys think?
Alright, so im thinking we'll start this weekend with belly laughs everyone get the book by sunday! let us know if something prevented you from getting the book so we can wait for you! im hoping i can get my butt to the library lol ....i thought i already posted this but its not showing up so it musta not went thru..sorry! im not ignoring you!! lemme know if this weekend works for everyone..if not we can come up with a day that everyone will have the book by. how do u guys think we should do this? should we set a chapter limit each week so we wont be way ahead of eachother?
Its pretty informative & good to look back on when I have questions..especially since I'm new to this :)
Yes, I would love to join too. Last time I was pregnant I read a ton of Reder's Digest books the books have 4 novels in them. Now that I am pregnant again I have the urge to read novels again.
I just read a short book that I remembered from childhood called "Are you there God? It's me Margaret" by Judy Bloome. It was a cute story about a girl waiting for her period to start and trying out different religious services.
Willow, I love the What to Expect book too, it's great.
So Belly Laughs?
Love
Athena
Sounds great to me! When are we starting, so I know when to go out and get it (if I get it too early, I'll read it all at once the day I get it...its ridiculous how many books I go through!)
Belly laughs soulds great!!
i think we should start with belly laughs...everyone says its hilarious!
I've been reading What to Expect When Your Expecting since I found out I was pregnant & my SIL gave me Our Babbies Ourselves: How Biology and Culture Shape the Way We Parent but I havent started reading that one yet. I also heard belly laughs was really funny & relatable..I think there is a second one to that is about after she had her baby. But Im down to read anything that isnt too pricey to get my hands on.
I just finished the Wise Woman Herbal: For the Childbearing Year by Susan Weed
A fantastic guide for what to expect.. haha.. when you're expecting.. through conception to labour and post-partum. She's a very accomplished midwife with great stories and helpful natural remedies for everything that might happen during this year.
(A quick read but great reference!)
I am 11 weeks today! I am due April 20th... I can't wait,,,, I think it will be fun!
I do recommend The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. I read it last year when we started TTC, and I was planning on reading it again sometime soon. I've also heard that Belly Laughs is good too, although I haven't read that one.
awesome! we're going to wait out the week to see if anymore ladies want to join then we can pick a pregnancy book!
Im down when I have the time. I go to school full time & work but I love reading (when its something I like) anyways so it should be fine.
yay!! how exciting! we'll give it a couple weeks to see if others want to join in and then we can pick a book to read! the big forum has given me a ton of book recomendations so i have quite a list built up! im so stoked someone finally responded to me! how far along are you?
Well guess I can't tell you my e-mail address, lol!! I guess lets stay in touch this way! lol!
I love to read too!!! I am going to be starting a Master's degree but I will try to keep up! Keep me posted. My e-mail is ***@****!
