Pubic bone seperation

Hi
I was wondering (especially you repeat mothers) if anyone has ever experienced their pubic bone pulling apart. I can't explain what it feels like exactly, just like it sounds ... a constant dull pain right at your crotch that really feels like things are pulling apart ... sometimes feels like your pelvic girdle is two parts because I can feel the two pieces moving against each other ...

well, it didn't happen in my first pregnancy but the second one was so bad i could barely move (and didn't want to) ... it was so bad that i had to mind every movement i made ... you'd be surprised just how much and how often you use your hips. sitting up or down, on the toilet, moving my legs at all, pretty much everything was limited.

well, it didn't start until about 7 months with baby number 2. now, at 17 weeks, it's starting again. I can't walk a lot or do anything that i have to strain myself.

has anyone had any experience with this and had treatment for it? i've even heard crazy things like it can cause permanent damage and if it get severe enough you have to have a C section because the baby can litterally split the pubic  symphasis apart. anyone know?

I had similar pains that lasted about a month..they just stopped two weeks ago. It didnt hurt when I touched the area but when I sat, went up stairs, stood, put pants on, really moved at all or did anything besides sit it would feel like an aching bruise, but not sore to the touch. The weirdest thing ever. Sometimes it so VERY unbearable! It wasnt my uterus either, it felt like my hip joints & groin area. I read that sometimes you bones start softening & that what it is. My dr couldnt give me a clear answer either & sent me to a different dr but by the time that appointment came it was gone. I couldnt find a way to get relief. The few sites I read sai it commonly starts in the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Its a way of your body preparing for the birth & making room. Im very small framed so I figured that was why..i never heard that it was my hip seperating but I feel better now..I hope you get some relief & if you find any good info please share!

I'm sorry nobody has responded to your post, but most won't respond to a question unless they know something about it. I haven't experienced this, so I don't have any answers or insights for you about it. I do hope that your little one gives you a break and your body feels better soon.
