thanks everyone!
I wanted to add that I have had two other natural vaginal births previous to this pregnancy, all in the last 4 years. I haven't had any other partner except my husband for 6 years and I know he was clean (i took his virginity ;) ) so if it is a disease, I have had it for over 7 years, which was the last time I had anything to do with anyone else besides him. my children do not show any symtoms of anything, and neither does my husband.
I just get freaked out because I know someone who has genital warts and I don't know how contagious that stuff is, but she and her BF come into my house and i go there ... i was worried about the off the wall ways you could contract diseases without sexual contact .... I feel stupid saying it but for example ... sitting on her toilet seat.
the way she was describing them to me just totally sent me over with worrying, since that's my natural state of being with my anxiety and what not. thanks again everyone
im in texas. and they check for stds at first pap but you have to sign for a hiv test.. but honestly you need to have them checked. you could pass whatever on to your baby and cause serious damange to them.. they can treat you preg for most things and if not then you will have a c section. but you need to be checked..
This might not help, since I'm in Canada.. but they also do a routine STD check with the first pap here.. even if you can say that you and your partner are healthy and have been exclusive for a looooong time. :)
I'm sure that your doc would be more than happy to calm your concerns with a checkup!
I'm not sure what the rules are where you live, but in Florida you have to consent, in writing, for them to test for HIV or any STD. They can't just do it, though it is good that they do. I'm really not sure about the bumps, it could just be cysts, but I would have you doctor take a look at them to be sure all is well.
