I'm still nauseous & vomiting @ 13 weeks so I eat whatever I think will make me feel better: cold pickles, watermelon (although getting harder to find), popsicles....
I did learn this week that plums and prunes will make my day a living hell and am recuperating from eating prunes today. Mehhhhh.
I usually crave potatoes too! Tacos too!!! I've been eating two bananas everyday though but it helps me fight my cravings.
Omg I've been on this same potatoe kick lately! My husband had been sick of hearing me talk about wanting potatoe everything lol that and nectarines have been my thing
i was craving ceasar salad to but i ate it on toaste weird ! but someone told me it was bad for you in pregnancy never heard that before.
I make my ceasar salad at home so I careful what is in it, thanks though. This week I am craving oranges, eating 2 or 3 a day, normally I hardly ever eat them!
Just from what I saw on some of the posts, be careful about eating Cesar salad it can sometime contain raw eggs, and also don't over-do tuna I think 6 oz is allowed each week since it can contain a higher mercury count!
Raisin Bran....that is too funny....I almost bought a box of that at the store the other day, too. Again, a cereal I never ate. As far as the "other problem" goes, I make myself eat cinnamon shredded wheat by Kashi...I'd probably be in trouble otherwise.
Hopefully the yucky feeling will taper off soon...are you off the PIO completely by now?
I'm kind of back in the nothing sounds good boat. :(
It's like I find I HAVE to have something ... and then after I have it, I kind of go right off it. My nausea is playing games with me... coming and going. I was really ill over the weekend (Saturday) after having felt mostly normal for like 2 days. I'd eaten a very plain cheese sandwich for lunch. Well, now I can't stand the thought of it!
My other new thing is raisin bran. i absolutely detest raisins. But i have been forcing myself to eat it for breakfast to help with that *other* problem (ahem!). It does seem to work, so at least it's got that going for it!
You are so funny, FearsomeKitty! As for me, I'll obsess on something until I get it...like a bean burrito from Taco Bell, which I NEVER ate before now....or lately I've been going to Chipotle a lot for a burrito bowl. I mean, I've always liked the place, but I went there three times last week, which is bizarre for me. Oh....and Rice Crispies and ice cold milk....that's been a 2 a.m. standard for the last week (again, a cereal I never ate before).
Today's craving? Pad See Ew. nom nom nom.
So far I think my cravings are getting ahead of themselves though. I seem to be doing better eating light salads than anything heavy. Every time I think something heavy sounds good, if I eat it, I end up feeling completely ill. Probably for the best or I would be gaining more than my allotted lbs! :)
One thing I did have that was excellent was a tuna wrap with fried onion rings on it omgoodness so good
Taco bell tacos which isn't really odd but they are on my mind constantly
oranges with salt! which i know is SO not good for me but whe i see oranges i want to eat it with salt or green mangoes!
Hmmm, let's see where do I start? Salads, ANYTHING from the bakery, Clam Cakes and Chowder (which I haven't indulged in yet), Tuna, (I've only had one sandwich so far since I've been pregnant) and Fruit. especially nectarines....So far...lol
LOL- it was tacos for me today!
Incidentally, if you are craving potatoes, try taking some potassium.
Buckwheat crepes with goat cheese, tomatoes and spinach inside, and I am not even pregnant. lol
Caesar salad for me at the moment, loving the stuff!
LOL...you make me want potatoes too :-).I would actually love to have a craving right now. I'm so nauseous and have NO appetite...the only thing I've managed to choke down today is a lollipop and some coca-cola....
But this is typical for me in pregnancy so hopefully just a little bit longer and the 2nd trimester will rescue me.
