so, if you start a pregnancy over weight is it as important to gain the average 25-30lbs?  I'm working on baby #5 (this is my shocked face) and with each of my previous babies I lost all by 10lbs from my pregnancies and with each one I gained the 25-30lbs.  That's left me 30 or so lbs over weight.  I'm also 35 so I know shedding the weight will be that much harder, but if the weight is already there and the baby is getting nourishment and the pregnant body produces a hormone (Hcg) for baby to feed off of mom's body anyway is gaining the extra weight really that important?

Drink when ur thirsty is what I was told.  As far as weight gain it depends on ur build I was overly thin so I've gained more than I should. Cramping yes kinda feels like a bad period. Being sleepy heck yes but good luck falling asleep lol.

Yes cramping and fatigue are normal, and can last through the entire pregnancy, or only a few weeks. It varies woman to woman. As for weight gain, I believe its around 2-3lbs 1st trimester, 6-12 2nd, and 3rd trimester is 12-18 for an average build. SOMETHING like that but sont quote me. Im not sure about how much water, but an average person (not pregnant) should drink about a gallon of water a day, and we pregnant women require more.
