Induction

Has anyone been asked if they would like to be induced? Or asked your doctor to induce you and they said yes? If so, what was the reason why? And what week? I'm just curious :)

Yea I the element of surprise, atleast in this situation. That and I wanted family to be prepared & my husband to be able to take leave on schedule too. My doc was really cool about it all. :)

My doctor mentioned inducing labor and said that they would if the new regulations would allow it prior to 39 weeks, the baby is big enough, and im miserable enough... if he doesn't come this week I want to be induced!

I'm being induced on the 8th, I asked due to my insurance changing the 12th and they had no prob with it.. Even told them I'd prefer the 8th. They scheduled me that day! I'm due the 15th so I'll be exactly 39 wks! I couldn't be happier. I'm the type that likes a schedule. It's nice to know, ok it's happening this day.. Good luck! :)

If it's not medically necessary, they can not induce until 39wks is what I was told. I briefly mentioned it on my 38wk check up but Dr didn't give exact answer so Tuesday is my 39wk check up and I'm gonna be direct so I can get a direct answer
