induced?

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and had another appointment  this afternoon. I was totally caught off guard when the nurse said "tomorrow  is the big day huh? Induction at 5am!" I was like me?! Wtf.. what are you talking about? So apparently my Dr scheduled an induction without telling me bc he is going to be gone for 2 weeks. I was on an emotional roller coaster..anyway my dr told me it is 100% up to me and just wanted to give me the option. After probably the hardest and quickest decision I have ever made I said no. I now will be seeing get another dr I've never met for the rest of my pregnancy :( I'm scared. I have a NST on Friday too..anyone have one of those before? Sorry this is so long I just wanted to share!

I wouldn't be so worried. If you go into natural labour you don't get your regular doctor unless they are the one on call that day/night. It's not so bad, with my first I went through three different doctors just on delivery day. It really wasnt bad. They are all licensed and know what they're doing. Hope that eases your mind a little :)

Wow that's crazy they wouldn't tell you something so important geez! I had a NST today and all they do is wrap bands around your stomach and hook you up to a machine and monitor you and baby for 30 mins to be sure that the baby's heartbeat is normal and movements are normal. Also shows your contractions. Good luck with everything!
