I am a FTM as well, I'm planning on getting this pump after my baby arrives and we successfully establish breastfeeding. I will have to pump when I go back to work and I've been told by practically everyone this is the best pump!
Thanks! Sounds like some good advice. That's the one I got also because my insurance paid for it. I feel bad for being uncomfortable about breast feeding, but it's nice to know I'm not alone. I thought it might be a touchy topic.
I never was comfortable breastfeeding feeding. I've always pumped and that is the pump I have used, working on the third now. Although, I did get a new one with this baby because my insurance paid for it this time around and I'd rather have a back up just in case the old one goes on me. It's a lot of work but it's also nice that hubby can also help feed the baby. Make sure before and during pumping that you are messaging your breast to get all the milk out and pump every two hours until your milk supple is fully established, this can take 3 months. Also a little tip, instead of washing parts after every time you pump, rinse all part that contact milk with warm water put it in a zip lock bag and then into the refrigerator. That way you only have to wash your pump parts once a day instead of 100.
I'm a ftm mom this is the breast pump I decided to get. I read some great reviews so I hope it works well. I'm planning to use it when I return to work. Good luck!
