I'm going to utilize a birthing pool at a birth center in Houston. I will also buy my own birth ball to help ease baby Ethan out. I will keep the room dark with relaxing music. Hypnotherapy sounds likw a good route.
My first time I used music, and my sister in law helped me focus. This time, I have breathing techniques, a supportive partner, music, lights that reflect on the cieling for visualization, and my hospital allows me to labor in water. May not use all of these tools, but it feels nice to go in more prepared!
I did with my daughter and hoping to do it again this time around. I have been reading a hypnobirthing book and trying to learn as much as possible. It came with a cd with relaxing music so we will see if it helps!
None that's it just the don't hold your breath and suck it up. Lol
My first time I was only 18 and I didn't get an epidural but I also focused on watching TV and wouldn't talk to anyone lol. This time I plan on listening to music and tuning people out. No epidural for me. I rather tough it out
And what pain coping techniques will you be using? Meditation? Music? Just curious if there are any techniques I have thought to use yet.
I'm gonna go with out an epidural just cause I don't want to have the discomfort of an epidural. My 1st pregnancy it was great. My 2nd I had it put in 3 times and it never took so this time around I'm gonna go with out it. I'm just gonna suck it up and take the pain.
