Last week at my 36w appointment my cervix was at1.5. But i haven't felt any contractions this pregnancy which is a little discouraging. My next appointment is Wednesday and I am excited to find out if I've made any progress down there since contractions are not really telling its almost time. Nothing wrong with being excited about it :)
Wish you luck! Hope everything goes well RoseFairy (:
I am South African and I'm getting checked next week at 38 weeks... I'm quite excited to find out if there's any progress.
NewMommy0415, Thank you!!! It was really rude but I didn't want a full blown argument right now. I 100% agree with you. It's just really exciting to know that you're almost to the finish line. Goodluck to you too! We're almost there!
I don't agree at all with ashbabyno, that was rude as h•e•l•l, and idk about anyone else but I'm about sick of seeing stuff like "you Americans" or "I feel sorry for woman in America" to me that's just as bad as being racist... Enough already. I'm proud to be from America and feel extremely blessed to be. Now that my rant is over! Lol I agree 100% with the other posters, it's not being obsessed with your cervix, that sounds ignorant. It's that exciting feeling of "oh man I'm close." We have all been waiting for so long dialating is a sure sign to being at that finish line. In this post I didn't see anything like you wanted to rush your pregnancy but more that you are excited to see progress! Anywho... I'm 36+5 and doc said I wasn't dilated at all either. But he also said one day u may not be and the next bam! Ur a 3! Lol it's getting close and I know you have to be as excited as I am!! Good luck!
I agree with ashbabyno2, baby will come when baby is ready. Don't be disappointed in your body because you haven't dilated. We are all different. I'm 37 weeks and not dilated and I'm glad. I want baby to come on time and at a good weight :) I'm FTM so it could be why I haven't dilated yet. Are you FTM? And I hear even if you are dilated it can be days or even a couple weeks or more until you actually have baby. Human body is complicated and awesome! We are almost there ladies! Keep up the good work! :)) April 11 is so close yet so far!!
