Off work already...

Im due April 5th and when I went in for my appointment today my blood pressure was way higher than normal so my doctor put me off the remainder of my pregnancy. Not sure how worried i should be about the high blod pressure. We have veen packing our whole house and are moving in a lil over a week so I've been a lil overwhelmed lately...maybe thats causing the high blood pressure. Any tips on what i should do to bring it down would be helpful. Anyone else ever been off 30 days before your due date?

I wanted to be off at least a couple weeks before my due date but wasn't expecting to be put off over a month before. I just hope money doesn't get too tight because of it. I dont think my baby is going to waitva month to come though i just hope he waits till after we move next Saturday.

Last time, I worked up until 3 days before my csection (5 before due date.) I felt amazing and never started having contractions.
This time, I'm due April 21st and have already told work I'm not working past April 4th. If by any chance I actually start having contractions I may stop working earlier than that since I'll be trying a VBAC this time. I'm already feeling uncomfortable and tired at work though. I want to work as long as possible (I might go crazy at home for the whole last month of pregnancy with a 1.5 year old!), but it is starting to get really hard for me to be motivated at work already...

I'm due April 22nd and I will be working right up until the 21st :( just too hard financially to take more time off when I want to spend as much time with my little man as I can. I work on my feet for 8-9 hours a day and it's been killing my back for the past few weeks. I get home and I can barely move...but it's what I have to do to provide for my child

Im sure the stress with moving and hearing about high blood pressure has been a lot to deal with. Take it easy ( as much as you can) . I'm at 32 weeks and I have 3 weeks left before I go on mat leave.

I'm 34 weeks and 5 days I have been off work since about 16-18 weeks. I have been having heart rate problems since about 14 weeks so the doctor doesn't want me stressing over more than just the baby. To keep myself calm with everything I usually make time during my day to just lay back and watch a show that I like or just lay in the bathtub for an hour to calm myself. So far in generally helps. Just make sure during the moving and stressing about it you are taking a little time for just you and baby to bond.

I to admit that other people's comments at work both coworkers and patients have been very rude the last two months. That also helped me in the decision to take off work early

I think if o had to work with the public right now I would get fired. Normally I am a very timid person and not confrontational but idk what this pregnancy has done to me. I cant handle people in the public. I stopped working in january thankfully but I eas serving food and had a couple go around with people that brought me into the managers office. Hehe

I am due the 14th and am working until March 27th. But at this point I'm thinking I should have been off before that because I'm starting to get really uncomfortable and sore most of the time. I work in a bank and my job is to deal with the public. It's hard to not be cranky when I sleep about 3 hours a night lol

I have been off work since Jan 13 and not due until April 11. I got very sick and drs decided it was best for me to stay home.  I would just try to relax and find things to keep you calm. Being off work and not have to work about work along with packing will probably be a help on its own.

I'm due April 17th & stopped working the 20th of Feb. was just getting uncomfortable and after discussing it w my husband he just thought it would be best if I relaxed a good amount of time before she comes. As far as trying to get that blood pressure down, I'd try things like making time in the evening one u get packing done to read, or take a bath. Anything that involves you stopping for a while and doesn't require a lot of thinking. I personally (while not everyone will agree, & to each their own) have the occasional glass of wine. That's nice too. U just need to take some you time. It doesn't take much to lower that blood pressure, sounds like your prob really over doing it right now w the move... That would tire out someone who wasn't pregnant. So u can imagine what ur body thinks of all the chaos! Good luck! Sorry so long!! Lol
