Just another mucus plug question..

how common is the mucus plug?? Or bloody show?? I'm a FTM so of course I've never even heard of such a thing until later on in my pregnancy, but it has me so paranoid, week 39 for me will begin Thursday however I've been paranoid for weeks about it. EVERYTIME I go potty I'm checking for it haha I'm constantly out on the look out for it so I can feel like I'm progressing in anyway. I talked to my mom about it and she acts as if she never had kids, said she had absolutely no spotting or bloody show and "can't remember" if she lost a mucus plus ..I'm only 21 but she can't remember anything lol ANYWAY are there any mamas who completely missed or went without loosing their mucus plug?? Is this really a common thing that happens to every woman??

your right, I'm letting it get to my head...I'm gonna stop checking (as much) and just let her continue to run the show lol at this point if she's early or past her due date she'll be here soon...these days are just getting long

Also a FTM but I have had a lot of other people tell me they didn't pass it or notice it is it did pass. It may have slipped into the toilet and some women don't lose it until they are actually in labour so they never even know :). Don't worry too much! You're almost there!
