I am struggling with severe constipation (TMI but once a week if I'm lucky) *and* I have bad nausea and morning sickness so the smell of prune juice makes me gag.
I've been drinking the following smoothie recipe for a few mornings and I'm actually having some consistent success.. Both in not puking and in the bathroom.
8 oz prune juice (no sugar added)
4 oz calcium fortified OJ
3/4 cups frozen blueberries
1 ripe banana
Blend in the vitamix and it lasts for two servings.
The farther along I get usually the worse my poppy problems become. However, as this is baby #3. I have found that both drinking apple juice and eating apple sauce regularly really helps me. If you get tired of the smoothly, something to try.
