SLeeping on my back during my last trimester

Hello ladies well I am 28w2d and am restless. The only way that I can sleep is mostly on my back. I know that they say it's bad to sleep on your back during pregnancy but is it really? It'[s the most comfortable way for me to fall asleep due to all the back pain and the pelvic pain that I get that is so horrible that I can barely tun over at night. Now I have a very comfotable computer chair that lays back like a recliner, if I'm going to sleep on my back is that better or should I avoid it all together? Any suggestions?

Pillows is the only thing I can say.  I am up to 9 which includes a large body pillow.  We have a king size bed and it is still not big enough for me, my husband and the belly.  I have heard that sleeping on your back reduces the blood supply to the baby and can cause hemroids.  I make myself a little pillow fort, the key to relieve the hip pain for me is to sleep on my side, with a pillow in between my legs so my hip, ankle, foot are all in the same line.  If you foot drops it pulls on your hip and that causes pain.
Not long now and you may be wishing for the miserable sleep - at least it would be some sleep, right?

my OB said it's not so bad as they put on when you're on a bed now if you were on a concrete floor then it's not good....but in bed he said just make sure your head is propted up good and if you can put a pillow under part of your back so that it sorta throws you off a bit but he also said if you feel any numbness of course turn to your left side....

I  have a similar problem...I have never been a back sleeper always loved sleeping on my side, still do! But every morning I wake up im on my back, wtf??!!??! I have to roll out of bed to pee and when I do get up I have a hard time walking because of all the pressure the baby put on my nerves while sleeping, UGH!! Kinda painfull...I look like an 80 year old woman tring to get to the bathroom, lol.
I read the same post that you put on the 21-34 forom and I think you said you tryed a recliner? I think that would be a good alternitive for you cause your head and feet are elevated.......Sounds comfortable:)
