I'm sorry but I have to agree with your husband. I made the mistake of naming my son after his dad, and now I wish I hadn't. Maybe you could use it for the middle name? That's what I kinda wish I had done... Good LUck either way and Congrats on the baby!

i think it's funny you WANT to name him after your hubby & he's the one saying no =) i think you should listen to his advice...if he doesn't love his name, then maybe make it the middle name...or maybe let them share a middle name...

me & my hubby don't agree on any names! i don't know how we came to an agreement so easily last time!

My hubby wanted to name our first son after him and having grew up in a family with 2 people named Stephen I was against it. When your son grows up he might have problems with the DMV mixing up him and his father or other kinds of mix ups:(  You could always name him something similar........... Or you can do what my hubby and I did........We choose a diffrent name for our son and than gave him my hubbys first name for his middle. The sucky part of that is that we have had 3 boys and he insists that they all take that middle name.............UGH!! So we have a Tristan Jamison , a Hunter Jamison and a Dalton Jamison. I really hope this next baby is a girl so we can break the cycle, lol:)

I know this has nothing to do with your question, but when and how did you find out the gender of your baby?

I don't like it. sorry to be so blunt lol. but hey, naming is a very personal choice and you're the one goin through everything so i think it only fair you have the final say. however, it'd be nice if you and hubby could find a name you both love.
