i have this and mt dr checked and my pelvis bone is seperated.. there is a name for it spb or something
I was having the aches in the pelvic area as well, and like you, I took off work early. I was involved in a motor vehicle collision and pretty banged up in the beginning of the 6th month of pregnancy. This accident threw my back out of alignment as well as leaving scars all over my legs from the abrasions… To make a long story shorter… I went and saw a chiropractor!
The chiropractor I see specializes in pregnant women, so it was a double benefit for me to see her after the wreck. She has helped my back greatly, and because of all of the extra stress from the accident, my abdomen was extremely tense causing these aching pains to be worse in the pelvic area. She did some therapy with me and things have been so much better. The aching in my legs, and in my hip area, HAVE GREATLY IMPROVED. I am so much more comfortable now. So I would highly recommend seeing a chiropractor to anyone who is suffering from aches and pains, especially since we should stay away from pain medications and surgeries. This is what I would try first.
For a while I was getting bad headaches daily, but now it's been about once a week. But I've literally ahd constant headaches ince about 3 or 4 months.
i had that a few weeks ago... prompting my "vent about your symptoms" post. I never imagined i would be so uncomfortable so early. (knocking on wood) those aches have actually faded a bit the past 2 weeks. of course they have been replaced by new symptoms, but at least I can move.
Thanks ladies i'll try that. It hurts that much that i can't lift my leg sometimes. THink i'll mention it to the specialist at the hospital when i take my daughter next week for her heart murmur check up. Thanks heaps.
:::raising hand::: Count me in. I've been so achy and uncomfortable for about ten days now, that I'm not sure how I'm gonna make it through the next six weeks or so. Like you, I was feeling a lot of pressure in my "privates" and bottom. Lower back aches. Hip bones hurt. I didn't feel like this until just before I gave birth before. I finally called my doctor's office and spoke to the nurse practitioner. She said that because this is my third, and because I've had a pretty large baby, it's very likely my pelvic girdle is just stretched out more than with the last pregnancy, and everything is much lower than before and pushing. She suggested lying down on my back with my feet up, if possible...if not possible to lie on my back, she said to stretch out in a recliner as horizontal as possible and raise my feet. I've done that the last couple of days and it really helped.
Rachel - I had back labor with both of my previous kids, and you're right...once you've had it, there's no mistaking it. But I'm still ultra-conscious of any back twinges! LOL.

Not only could it be the weight of your baby pressing down, but it could also be how you are sleeping. I know I get so achy from having to lay on my side all the time and this causes my back to hurt as well. If it gets worse just mention it to your doctor they might be able to give you some remedies to ease your pain.
I always get so nervous about back pain, because I had total back labor with my son and I had no idea I was in labor, but believe me now I know the difference between regular back pain and back labor!
I hope you get some relief soon!
