Aww hun! Im sorry I didnt mean to scare you about the IUGR!  Who knows why you are measuring so small? The u/s should give you all your answeres. I dont think I would be too worried. If the doctors were so worried about it they would have gotten you into have the u/s alot sooner rather then making you wait so long. Also, how large were you at birth??? They say your babies generly match your own size at birth. My hubby was over 10 lbs and I was only 6 lbs......all of our kids have been around 7 lbs so...............I was very worried with our first because I thought for sure I would have a whopper, lol. If they do diagnose you with IUGR it just means your baby is small for gestational age not retarded like it sound like. Bbaies that have it are generally healthy at birth, just small:)  Im not sure about the asprin, I know I was told not to take it during pregnancy but im not sure why. Have you heard that taking aspirin causes small babies????Also the internet is a very scary place to look for information, please wait and talk to your doctor before you sit there and scare the crud out of yourself. when you dont know anything.
Hugs!!

hiya thanks for responding :) jenkaye sorry lol i mean i have put on 2 and a half stone so far.. so i havn't got an issue with not gaining weight or anything. And yes i have been told heartbeat is fine.just abit worried as i have miscarried 4 times im expecting the worst i sopose :(
Blueeyedtabbycat - yes i have been researching IUGR on the net- sounds quite scary :( i will know for sure on tuesday though...
for this pregnancy i was put on cyclogest and baby aspirin however, docs didnt know if i really needed it but i chose to take it anyway and it seems to have worked BUT i stopped baby aspirin  at around 20 weeks or just after. doc told me to stop taking them both at 13 weeks, i stopped the cyclogest but continued aspirin. i have read stories on the net that woman take a baby aspirin a day until they give birth- im a little worried as since i have stopped taking baby aspirin it seems im not as big as i should and measurign quite a way behind.... it could be IUGR or small baby or the way im carrying or beacuse i stopped baby aspirin .....?? also i ahev read storied of woman having clots on their placenat which they end up loosing their babies
im really worried
i see my doc nxt wednesday after my scan
anyone have any ideas
p.s-thanks for writing back jenkaye and blueeyed tabbycat :)

Have you heard of IUGR? I had a friend that went 10 days over due and her baby was born healthy at 4 lbs 6 oz. They let her and her little girl go home with in a few days. She basicly was just small for gestational age. I would ask your doctor about it. It would show up on u/s especialy if the dating of your pregnancy is correct.

Sorry, don't know what "two stone" is. = )

I can only speak from my experience, but I have had 2 m/c and three full-term babies.

I don't know what to think about you measuring behind.  I know 1-2 weeks is considered normal (ahead or behind), but not sure about 5.

Is your scan NEXT Tuesday?  Wow, that is a long time to wait.  Has your doctor checked on baby's heartbeat or anything else in the meantime??
