10 week U/S for me too!

Hi Girls,

Had the big U/S day, finally, today! I was waiting for so long for this first ultrasound.  Everything was good, a strong heart beat and we got to listen to the heart as well.  Also lots of leg and arm movement which was amazing.  I wish I did a little video of those parts, so if you haven't gone yet, consider having someone record on your little digital camera. I wonder if the legs and arms are moving around like that alot all the time or because of the U/S?

I told the nurse that I had some in soreness on my right side (especially early on in the pregnancy and also during stress).  She checked over there and sure enough there was a small cyst on my right ovary. She said it's normal and can be even from the missed period (?), but will dissolve naturally.  It's what at first I thought was an ectopic pregnancy...too much reading online!  But, all okay!

Oh, the other kind of weird thing is that it seems like I conceived about on the last day of my period, but I guess it happens!

Thanks Heather! And the explanation about the cyst is very helpful.  It's all amazing, I feel lucky to be a woman and get to experience such a thing. :)

Yay congrats :)
Isn't it amazing to see all the movement? I thought of recording too late too.. oh well maybe next time.
I knew you were OK and it was probably a cyst because the same thing happend to me.  I guess what happens is you always have a cyst from the folicle where the egg comes out of, but if you don't conceive it absorbs.  But, if you do concieve it stays there and begins to produce progesterone (however ever you spell that) to support your pregnancy.  After the placenta takes over hormone production (which is soon for us) it goes away!
Congrats again!!!
