Birth Story ; )

So very happy to announce that my baby girl Sophia AnnMarie has arrived! She was born August 9 @ 7:06 via Emergency c-section. I was due August 26th. She weighs 6lb 12oz and is 19inches.
So... went to my moms on Sunday to spend some time with her. We were about an hour into a movie when I started hurting. (Stomach, back, and thighs) Hubby was at work that is a 2 hour drive from the hospital. When the pain started it felt almost constant. I wasn't sure so I decided to just watch and see what happens in an hour. After about 30-45 min they we're coming stronger and faster. I text hubby and told him to be on stand by. I told my mom and we got ready and went to the hospital to get checked out. My baby girl had been breech since b4 30 weeks.  At the hospital they set me up in an observation room and checked me. I was dilated 2 (was only 1 3 days prior.) So after an hour no cervical change but contractions very 2-3 minutes.  We live an hour from the hospital. The Dr. Ordered iv fluids and it was looking like I was going to be sent home. (Boo)  30 minutes later my doctor came in and asked how I was feeling. (Still having hard contractions 2-3 minutes apart.) He said here are our options. Chance early delivery with lungs possibly not ready or rush your water breaking and cord prolaps or breech delivery on highway.. I of course opted for now! Everything went really fast after that.  I was prepared for surgery and hubby made it just in time to be in there (he had a gut feeling and left work when I texted before) I was so glad he made it . We went in and she was delivered 6 minutes after surgery started. She came out breech and peeing! ;) baby girl gave a big scream, we got to see her then went to nursery to be checked. Turns out she is as healthy as can be..  Been in the room with us since an hour after birth. After experiencing 2 natural births, 1 epidural birth, followed by 2 ectopic pregnancies, now our little blessing by c-section I can honestly say that all labors are painful and have their own pros and cons. Anyway we deliver we all are strong and powerful Mommies.  Congratulations to you all and good luck! Happy and healthy babies!
